Terms & Conditions of Service
Important Notice: These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Patient", "Guardian", or "User") and Mediran Ecosystem (mediran.co). Please review these terms meticulously before utilizing our health travel facilitation, medical visa processing, or hospital appointment services.
1. Introduction & Operational Scope
Mediran operates an international healthcare mobility and patient concierge ecosystem. Our digital infrastructure bridges patients from Bangladesh with accredited tertiary hospital networks, specialized surgical institutes, and consular visa channels.
By creating an account, engaging with medical coordinators, uploading diagnostic files, or paying facilitation fees, you unconditionally agree to comply with all provisions detailed herein.
2. Medical Facilitation & Independent Provider Disclaimer
2.1 Non-Clinical Entity: Mediran is a medical tourism facilitator, health technology platform, and logistical concierge. Mediran does not directly practice medicine, operate hospitals, or deliver surgical interventions.
2.2 Independent Medical Judgment: All clinical examinations, surgical operations, medical diagnoses, and pharmaceutical prescriptions are performed exclusively by board-certified physicians, surgeons, and specialists operating within accredited independent partner hospitals (IPD-certified).
2.3 Second Opinion Advisory: Treatment plans and preliminary surgical estimates generated prior to arrival are based upon patient-submitted reports. In-person clinical triage upon arrival at the destination hospital remains the ultimate binding clinical evaluation.
3. Patient Journey & Facilitation Protocol
| Phase | Mediran Scope of Responsibility | Patient Obligation |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Pre-Travel & Triage | Collecting diagnostic records, translating clinical summaries, obtaining preliminary surgical opinions, and issuing cost estimates. | Providing complete, authentic medical histories, lab results, and disclosure of pre-existing co-morbidities. |
| 2. VMP Medical Visa | Coordinating with authorized consular visa authorities and generating hospital medical appointment vouchers. | Possessing a passport valid for at least 6 months and fulfilling sovereign entry clearance requirements. |
| 3. In-Country Mobility | VIP airport reception, dedicated ambulance/car transfer, medical hotel allocation, and designated bilingual patient escort. | Adhering to hospital admission schedules, local cultural and legal regulations, and travel safety directives. |
| 4. Post-Operative & Return | Prescription translation, digital health vault record archive, follow-up telemedicine sync, and recovery monitoring. | Complying with surgical discharge instructions, attending mandatory pre-flight fitness checks. |
4. Visa Medical Process (VMP) & Consular Authority
4.1 Sovereign Issuance Discretion: While Mediran facilitates the 48-Hour Fast-Track Medical E-Visa clearance through authenticated hospital invitation vouchers, the issuance of visas remains at the sole sovereign discretion of the relevant Embassy and Consular authorities. Mediran cannot overturn consular rejections resulting from security watchlists, fraudulent submitted documents, or immigration non-compliance.
4.2 Authenticity Warranty: The patient warrants that all submitted diagnostic reports, passport scans, and financial statements are authentic and unaltered. Forgery or misrepresentation voids all service warranties and results in immediate consular notification.
5. Financial Transparency, Deposits & Refunds
Itemized Transparency
Patients receive fully transparent price quotations detailing hospital IPD package rates, surgeon fees, VIP accommodation, and concierge services without concealed markups.
Payment & Escrow Protection
Medical travel payments are deposited securely into verified institutional escrow accounts or settled directly at the hospital checkout desk with official receipts.
5.1 Cancellation Prior to Travel: If a trip is cancelled due to medical visa denial (verified by consular proof), platform facilitation fees will be refunded minus actual third-party consular filing disbursements.
5.2 Hospital-Level Adjustments: If in-person clinical testing reveals unexpected medical complications requiring modified surgical procedures or extended ICU care, all variance costs are detailed directly on the hospital’s official itemized billing statement.
6. Emergency Protocols & SOS Escalation
During active travel, patients have continuous access to the Mediran In-App 24/7 Red SOS Dispatch button. In the event of an acute medical emergency:
- Immediate ambulance dispatch and hospital trauma unit alerting are prioritized automatically.
- Designated bilingual medical liaisons provide on-the-ground interpretation and administrative navigation.
- The patient's registered next-of-kin in Bangladesh will be notified immediately via priority automated SMS/voice channels.
7. Code of Conduct & Platform Compliance
Users of Mediran services agree not to:
- Upload malicious, falsified, or third-party medical records without documented power-of-attorney.
- Utilize medical visas for illegal immigration, non-medical employment, or unauthorized overstaying.
- Harass, intimidate, or abuse medical coordinators, hospital clinical staff, or liaison interpreters.
- Attempt unauthorized vulnerability testing, reverse-engineering, or data scraping of our digital systems.
8. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Mediran Ecosystem, its affiliates, directors, and officers shall not be held liable for:
- Direct, indirect, or incidental outcomes arising from clinical medical treatments, surgical complications, hospital negligence, or unpredictable physiological reactions to prescribed medication.
- Flight delays, airline cancellations, or border force entry decisions beyond Mediran’s direct operational control.
- Acts of God, diplomatic crises, strikes, or sovereign regulatory border closures.
The patient agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Mediran against any claims, losses, or legal expenses arising from the patient’s breach of this agreement or submission of fraudulent identity documentation.
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any conflict, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be submitted to mutual amicable mediation via our Executive Concierge Desk in Dhaka. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dhaka.
